Collections of Tom Brady (47), considered the best quarterback in American professional football (NFL) history, including sportswear and watches, were sold for a large amount of money at auction.

American business media Fox Business reported on the 12th (Korean time) that Sotheby’s, an auction house, auctioned off Brady’s collection, and all of it was sold, earning a profit of $9 million (approximately 12.8 billion won). According to the media, a total of 41 items with traces of Brady’s hand, including the uniform he wore during his active career, the ball he used to set a new record, and the shoes he was wearing, were put up for auction and all were successful. One of the uniforms was worn by Brady in a 2021 game against the New England Patriots when he was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback. At the time, he broke the all-time passing yards record in that game. The uniform, which preserves historical records, was sold at auction for $504,000 (about 700 million won).

Brady, who played for 23 seasons in New England and Tampa Bay, is a legendary player who won seven Super Bowls and was awarded Most Valuable Player (MVP) five times. Even after retiring in February of last year, he signed a 10-year contract with Fox Sports as a commentator worth a total of $375 million (about 511.1 billion won), and in October of this year, he joined the ranks of team owners by purchasing a 5% stake in the NFL Las Vegas Raiders. It continues to be a hot topic and is still very popular.
