LVBP standings: There is a new leader

This is how the LVBP 2024 – 2025 goes after what we experienced this Friday, November 29 and according to our updated standings table with all the Venezuelan baseball teams.

Venezuelan professional baseball is ending its eighth week of action and there is a new leader in the standings.

Las Águilas del Zulia is the new leader of Venezuelan baseball after taking revenge on the Bravos de Margarita and sweeping them in Maracaibo.

The islanders had done the same in Margarita weeks ago, but the “eaglets” were stronger at home and won two very important games.

For Bravos, it is the fourth defeat in a row, so they are about to lose the lead if they do not adjust several problems that were seen on the field yesterday and today.

Another of the hottest teams is Cardenales de Lara, which added its eighth victory in the last 10 games to jump to third place in the standings.

In a duel of fans, they swept Leones del Caracas in Barquisimeto in a double game, and managed to quickly get out of the bad situation in which they fell two weeks ago, where they came to be in penultimate place.

For their part, the “long-haired” were on the verge of dividing, but they could not close the victory in the second duel. The Larenses left them on the field and now they fall to fifth place in the championship, after having reached third place yesterday.

Another that is on a negative streak is Magallanes, which lost another game at home and is fixed in fourth place. The relief pitching is not working and is being detrimental to the entire team.

The Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) from Venezuela has the Sharks, the current Venezuelan baseball champions, as big favorites. However, Magallanes, Bravos and Águilas are playing great baseball and can get into the fight to take away the championship.

From now on, all teams want to accumulate the greatest number of games won to comfortably qualify for the Round Robin (all against all system).

This year the regular season ends earlier. Because adjustments have been made for the start date of the Mexicali Caribbean Series.

The games will end on December 21 and after Christmas, the 2025 Round Robin will begin to define the two teams that will be in the LVBP Final.
