Last Saturday, the Magec Tías Inclusivo team traveled to Tenerife to participate in a new round of the Canary Islands Plátano Sin Límites Basketball League, held at the Santiago Martín Pavilion. The people of Lanzarote showed their enthusiasm in a day full of basketball and complementary activities.

The Magec Tías Inclusivo team, composed of Tania, Leandro, Kevin, Tamara, Roberto, Agoney, Carlos, Ana, David, Noelia, Amber, Nauzet, Mauro, Óliver and Domingo, was under the direction of coaches Rayco Cejas and Doménica Parrilla, with the assistance of Teresa Álvarez, Georgiana Vasile and Pablo Catalá.

The event, which follows the line of the concentration held previously on the island of La Palma, included various complementary activities organized by the Includes Sin Límites Project. These activities enriched the experience of the participants, promoting inclusion and personal development through sport.

At the end of the day of matches, the participants had the opportunity to attend an inspiring talk given by the Paralympic athlete Enhamed Enhamed, who shared his experience, highlighting the importance of perseverance, effort and emotional development, both in sport and in life.

On this occasion, the Magec Tías Inclusivo team played two games. In the first, they faced CB Tacoronte from Tenerife, and in the second, they measured forces against CB Aridane from La Palma. Both matches were a sample of the commitment and enthusiasm of the players, who left everything on the field.

In addition, during the course of the concentration, the Canarian Basketball Federation officially presented the ball for the Canary Islands Plátano Sin Límites Basketball Competitions. The colors of the ball, which refer to the Flag of Improvement designed by Eros Recio, symbolize the three types of disabilities: sensory, physical and mental, with gold, silver and bronze representing each of them, respectively.

The day in Tenerife was an opportunity to compete, and also to strengthen the ties of camaraderie and improvement among the participants. The Magec Tías Inclusivo continues to demonstrate that sport is a powerful tool for inclusion and personal growth.

The next event will be on December 14 in Lanzarote, organized by CD Magec Tías. A day in which the red and black club is already working to host all the Canary Islands teams that participate in the Canary Islands Plátano Sin Límites Basketball League.
