The Mexican judo team won five medals in the Pan American U-13 and U-15 Championship in Cuba: a gold one with Thayli Molina and four of bronze with pear trees, Marmolejo, Álvarez and the mixed team.
The national judo team closed its participation in the Pan American U-13 and U-15 Championshipheld in Varadero, Cuba, achieving a total of five medals: one gold and four bronze.
The athlete from Quintana Roo, Thayli Molinawas the most outstanding Mexican by becoming champion in the -47 kilogram category, which represented the only gold medal for the country in the youngest division.
In the following categories, Luis Perales (-40 kilograms), Renata Marmolejo (-44 kilograms), Ana Álvarez (-53 kilograms) and the mixed team (made up of Cesar Moreno, Emanuel Rodriguez, David Dominguez, Carmen Bustos y Ana Álvarez) managed to climb to the third step of the podium.
This outstanding performance came just a few days after the junior judo team won seven medals at the Pan American Cup Montreal 2024consolidating Mexican judo as a power in continental competitions with age limits.
