Miguel Hernández Secures Second Term as Head of Dominican Hockey
Santo Domingo – the Dominican Federation of Grass Hockey (Fedohockey) has a new mandate, with Miguel Hernández re-elected as president for the next four years. The election, held at the Juan Ulises García Saleta hall of the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD), saw Hernández’s plan, “Continuing the Change in Hockey: 2024-2028,” emerge victorious.
hernández’s platform garnered five votes, edging out Nayrobi Pichardo Valdez’s “Rescue and Clarity” proposal by a single vote. This reaffirms the confidence placed in Hernández’s leadership and his vision for the future of hockey in the Dominican Republic.Joining Hernández on the new Fedohockey board are Katy Rivas Contreras as first vice president, Manuel Confesor Almonte Núñez as second vice president, Jhenyfer Veras Acevedo as general secretary, Jhonathan de los Santos Sosa as co-secretary, and Samuel Ávila Guerrero as treasurer.
the board is further strengthened by directors Ronny Mata quezada (secretary of organization), Félix Paulino Fabián (first member), Luis Ogando Contreras (second member), Isamel Avelino Veras (third member), and Víctor Núñez Pacheco (fourth member).
The election process was overseen by an electoral commission comprising Gilberto García (president), Miguel Camacho (representing the Olympic Committee), Rafael Villalona, and josé Miguel Robiou.
