On Saturday, December 7th, the Mini Team Cup took place in Hall in Tirol, as in previous years. Eight teams, each with one woman and two men, took part in the professional class; unfortunately the planned hobby class did not take place due to insufficient participation. In addition to teams from Innsbruck, Hall, Jenbach, Kitzbühel and Kufstein, a team from SV Nußdorf-Debant also took part. Leonie, Tobias and Edi faced opponents from North Tyrol in a men’s singles, a women’s singles, a men’s doubles and a mixed doubles.
In the first round, the Innsbruck team (DSG) were too strong for the East Tyroleans and clearly won 4-0. The local badminton players also lost 1-3 in the second game against the Kufstein team. In the 3rd of 4 games, Leonie, Tobias and Edi were able to get a draw against Kitzbühel 1, but due to the better point difference, the Kitzbühel team won by 6 points. In the last game against the home team from Hall, the first win was achieved, as this was proven “Nußdorfer Smash-Trio” took 7th place at this year’s Mini Team Cup.
At the subsequent awards ceremony, the winners from Innsbruck (DSG Tirol) were celebrated and the vice president of the TBV, Andi Pesserer, was able to present small prizes to all participants!
