MTG Wangen Judo Club Championship

MTG Wangen Judo Club Championship

In November, the MTG Wangen once again held an open club judo championship in the Berger-Höhe sports hall. A total of 60 children from the judo departments of the clubs JJV Friedrichshafen, Sportgemeinde Scheidegg, SG Friesenhofen, TSG Leutkirch, TV Isny and MTG Wangen competed against each other in different weight classes. For some of the children it was their first experience of competition. In front of full spectators, the children were able to use the throwing and holding techniques they had learned in training and some duels were fought over the full competition time of three minutes. Following the children’s competitions, the MTG Wangen adult judoka’s internal club competitions traditionally took place to determine the club champion. Ronja Kirsner and Andreas Peter deservedly won this title.

The children of MTG Wangen performed confidently and were able to achieve the following placements in their respective weight classes:

Oskar Harzheim-1st place, Konstantin Ikonomov-1st place, Tyler Netzer-2nd place, Felix Bodenmüller-1st place, Colin Schindele-2nd place, Henri Abt-2nd place, Henry Wagner-3rd place, Jan Hengge 1st place, Titus Ringwald 2nd place, Wanja Grabow 3rd place, Leonas Jäger 1st place, Zoe Peter-3rd place, Lotta Harzeim-2nd place, Carla Bodenmüller-1st place, Romi Abt-3rd place, Polly Hasel-2nd place, Daria Oprea-2nd place, Melissa Oprea-3rd place.

A big thank you also goes out to the numerous MTG helpers, without whom such an event would not be possible. We are always happy to see new faces with and without previous knowledge. The training takes place in the sports hall of the Berger-Höhe School. The children train on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5 p.m., the adults on Fridays from 7:30 p.m.
