NBA: Superstar Joel Embiid injured in the face

Joel Embiid remains unlucky this NBA season. The Philadelphia 76ers superstar suffered a broken sinus in the home game against Indiana.

Embiid was hit in the face while fighting for a rebound in the second quarter. The 2023 MVP has played in just six of 23 games this season because of a knee injury and a three-game suspension following an argument with a referee.

While Philadelphia has recently gained momentum, this has now been slowed again with the loss of their best player. The 76ers lost the home game 107:121 and now have a clearly negative record with 16 defeats and 7 wins.

The Washington Wizards suffered their 20th defeat in the 23rd game of the season without Swiss Kyshawn George, who injured his ankle. The team from the capital was defeated 105:115 away by the Cleveland Cavaliers, currently the best team in the league. George missed his fourth straight game.
