Day four of the festival saw intense competition in badminton and tennis. neelam Sancheti emerged victorious in the women’s table tennis finals, with Deepali Parakh securing the runner-up position. Nikki Chopra and Mona Fofalia expertly oversaw the women’s matches, while Parikshit Sharma officiated with precision. Club Secretary Puneet Mutha announced that preparations for the grand finale event on December 31st are well underway.
The badminton courts witnessed fierce battles, with Hitesh Fofalia and Sanjay Gandhi advancing to the doubles finals. Pradumna Vaishnav and Rohit fought valiantly, reaching the semi-finals. Sanjay Gandhi also impressed in the singles category. meanwhile, on the tennis courts, Aman Porwal and gitang Mehta dominated the doubles, while Praveen Mutha, Vaibhav Sancheti, and Surendra Parakh showcased their prowess in singles. In the sub-junior category, Aarav Mehta clinched the championship title, with Aarav bhansali as the runner-up.
The festival’s diverse offerings extended beyond racquet sports. Chess enthusiasts witnessed the strategic brilliance of Prajwal in the junior category. Siddharth Lodha dominated the snooker singles, while Abhishek Bisawa and Ashish Bisawa displayed impressive teamwork in the pickleball doubles semi-finals. Dhairya jain, Abhishek Bisawa, Rishi Bohra, and surendra Parakh advanced to the next round in the singles pickleball competition. Carrom enthusiasts were treated to thrilling matches, with Abhijeet Jain and Rakshit hingad reaching the semi-finals in singles, and Abhijeet jain and Dixit Mehta making their mark in the doubles category.
Adding to the excitement, the highly anticipated night cricket tournament kicks off today, December 20th. Inspired by the IPL format, 16 teams will battle it out under the floodlights. Cricket in-charge Pradeep Sand confirmed that preparations are in the final stages, with Sheru Bhai, Prakash Mahadev, Sunil Wadhera, Ashish Bohra, and dixit Mehta working tirelessly to ensure a smooth and thrilling tournament. The anticipation is palpable as the District Club gears up for a impressive finale on December 31st, promising a memorable culmination to this sporting extravaganza.
