The new rules that will come into force in 2025 in judo competitions will allow the use of the head to throw and defend, reported the international federation (IJF).

The new rules will make their international debut at the Paris Grand Slam next February.
According to the IJF, the objective of the changes is “to put the resolution of each fight in the hands of the athletes.”
