NFL: Maxx Crosby’s season would be over

The Las Vegas Raiders suffer another blow in their season of misery.

Their star defensive end Maxx Crosby will need surgery for an ankle injury and his season would essentially be over according to what has been learned ESPN.

The defensive player was already expected to miss Monday’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, but he was expected to meet with Dr. Rob Anderson during the day and then follow the operation. The procedure will then determine how long he will have to be kept away.

He reportedly suffered the injury in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens.

In 12 games this season, the 27-year-old recorded 7.5 sacks and participated in 45 tackles.

Crosby’s name has been circulating this fall in trade rumors so we will have to see if he played his last game with Vegas.

The Raiders are in last place in the American West Division with a 2-11 record. They are on a nine-game losing streak.
