The New Orleans Saints have added running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to their practice squad.
The move comes as the team’s No. 1 running back, Alvin Kamara, could be a question mark for Monday night’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers. He left his team’s final game Sunday against the Washington Commanders with a groin injury.
Edwards-Helaire was released by the Chiefs earlier this week. He has not played a single match this season.
The one who won a national title with LSU in 2019 also enjoyed two Super Bowl conquests with the Chiefs.
