NFL star Trent Williams mourns: drama surrounding his twin babies

Away from sports, NFL star Trent Williams and his family experienced a severe blow of fate with the loss of his twin children.

San Francisco – And suddenly the desperate fight for the playoffs is just a minor matter: San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams was looking forward to the birth of his twins. Now it became known: None of the babies survived.

As his wife Sondra Williams wrote in a video posted on Instagram, it was the “saddest hello and farewell” she’s ever had to endure.

Accordingly, little Trenton O’Brien Williams Jr. died on November 24th – in the 35th week of pregnancy. Particularly tragic: The NFL star’s wife had already lost the first child of the hoped-for twin birth.

Shortly before midnight, little TJ, as she calls him throughout the post, was born. It was a silent birth. But he was warmly welcomed for those few moments.

Family members – including the three sisters of the “eternal angel”, as the mother writes – held the dead baby in their arms, squeezed it, stroked it and cuddled it.

Acted for that one brief moment as if everything was fine with the star child. As a matter of course, TJ was celebrated and welcomed as part of the family. Including family photos and shared videos.

Trent Williams himself found it difficult to smile for the camera. His team supported the 36-year-old during this difficult time.

“It’s hard as a coach, it’s hard as a friend, it’s hard as a family member,” said his head coach Kyle Shanahan on social media. On behalf of the team, he added: “Whatever you have to go through, the good or the bad, we go through it together.”

Trent Williams was released from training last week but was back on the pitch in the 10:35 defeat at the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night (local time). He is considered the absolute top player in his position.
