It’s hard to imagine the pain NFL star Trent Williams (36) and his wife Sondra are currently going through: The yoga teacher announced on Instagram on Sunday (December 1st) that she was giving birth to her son Trenton O’Brien Williams Jr. (†) gave birth to stillbirth on November 24th. In an emotional post, she shared pictures and videos of her baby’s heartbeat and sonograms, as well as photos of herself during pregnancy. She praised her son as her “eternal angel.”

Terrible loss for NFL star Trent Williams and his wife

“It was incredibly difficult to process the saddest hello and goodbye I’ve ever had to endure,” writes Sondra Williams. “Last Sunday evening, November 24th, I welcomed your lifeless 4 pound, 8 ounce, 18.5 inch long little body at 11:38 p.m. At only 35 weeks, your quick arrival didn’t even give me time to get an epidural “I’m so grateful that your aunt Katina (who also cut your umbilical cord) and nurse Hannah were by my side.”

Diagnosis of trisomy 13

Sondra went on to explain that she had lost Trenton’s twin earlier in the pregnancy and that Trenton had been diagnosed with Trisomy 13, a rare genetic disorder. “As much as I tried to prepare for our meeting, I was not prepared and never would be. After the loss of your twin early in pregnancy, I prayed and hoped that your diagnosis of Trisomy 13 was not true and not that Fate of my long-awaited beautiful sunshine.”

The couple, who already have three daughters together, now seek consolation in faith: “My firstborn and only son, I always wanted you, but God wanted and needed you more. Knowing that you are in heaven with your great-aunt Vivian and “That you will always be our guardian angel brings me great comfort in the midst of all this sadness,” Sondra wrote. “My heart is heavy. Being home without you in my arms has been quite an adjustment. Knowing that I will never see you grow older, along with your sisters, fills my eyes with tears.”

“Our eternal angel”

The footbal oiler’s wife also writes that her heart is broken and she is struggling to find the words to describe how it feels to be home without her son. Still, she is grateful for the time she had with her child: “Thank you God for allowing us to bond for 35 weeks and for allowing me to give birth to you so I could hold you in my arms. I am at peace because I know you never had to suffer.” And further: “Even though I will never hear your soft sounds and cries or never see your beautiful little eyes looking up at me, I am grateful to God for the time I got to share with you. Madison loved it, your heartbeat “To hear and watch your movements in my belly Trenton O’Brien Williams Jr., my sweet little boy, we love you, our eternal angel.”
