München – The National Football League (NFL) has come to Germany to stay. Until at least 2029. But where will the games be played? American-Football-Professional league take place?
After the two games in Munich and Frankfurt since 2022, Berlin will be the focus of the NFL for the first time next year.
And the federal capital would like to have three of the five games.
The NFL’s Germany boss, Alexander Steinforth, has now announced that this option is certainly in the back of his mind.

So two games remain open. The big boss of the most valuable professional sports league in the world, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell (65), said at the Munich Games in November that the venue in Berlin did not mean that Munich and Frankfurt were no longer options.
The Bavarian capital has now decided to apply for the currently two open games.
“The NFL and Munich just fit together,” Mayor Verena Dietl (44, SPD) was quoted as saying in a statement.
“We were the first city in Germany to host a regular season game, and the game this year in November was once again a great success.”
The general assembly of the city council has now approved a corresponding application.
There’s a lot of tinder in this game day! Rivalry Week and top duels in the NFL
The NFL recently announced that it was interested in a long-term venue in Germany. As part of the league’s “Global Markets Program”, ten teams have received marketing rights for the Federal Republic in the last three years.
Among them are the Detroit Lions, the Indianapolis Colts, the New York Giants, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Seattle Seahawks (all 2024), the Atlanta Falcons (2023), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Carolina Panthers, the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs (all since 2022).
Many observers are already speculating that the Patriots could play in Berlin as the “home team” in 2025. However, there will probably not be a decision before the end of August.
