No Cantù fans in the Cantù trip

No Cantù fans will be in Rimini on Sunday evening in the visitors’ corner for the highly anticipated match which could allow S.Bernardo to move closer to the top of the rankings, occupied by the Romagna players, at +6 on Cantù. The Eagles’ decision came after the communication from the Interior Ministry Observatory on sporting events, which specifies that to purchase tickets for the guest sector it will be necessary to show an identity document and provide name, surname and date of birth.

A measure which, as has already happened in the past to Cantù itself, but also to other supporters – the last one being that of Fortitudo Bologna for the away match in Desio – is indigestible to the fans. To the Eagles for sure. The group will not be at the Palasport Flaminio in Rimini, as announced in a statement published on their social networks: «Here we are. The most important match of the season in terms of standings. How many? 100? 200? Zero! We won’t be there! Why? because we don’t accept such rubbish. The nominal ticket is not law. It is at the discretion of the Police Headquarters. And we don’t want to be discriminated against. We 100 registered and the rest of the Palace not? But fuck you. With pride, with head held high, at an organized level (…) We won’t be there. See you soon. Very soon.”

Meanwhile, tonight we’re already playing: at 8.45pm the Udine-Rieti match will be staged, live on RaiSport HD and streaming on RaiPlay.
