Pero no fue fácil, aseguró por su parte el entrenador de la mexicanas, pues fue un evento donde “estaba lo mejor del mundo”, dijo, “no hay enemigo fácil”.
“Sabíamos que podíamos pelear al tu por tu con cualquiera y pues así lo hicimos”, declaró Miguel Ángel Flores Castañeda, el entrenador del equipo.
La mexicanas confirmaron su condición al vencer a alemania, vigente campeona del mundo, en cuartos de final por un contundente 5-1.
Sin embargo, sufrieron una apretada derrota en las semifinales contra la República Popular de China por 3-5.
A pesar de eso, lograron recuperarse de la decepción de quedar a un solo punto de avanzar a la final en el set decisivo contra China para conquistar la medalla que fueron a buscar a París 2024.
