PALERMO – The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Palermo have combed the streets of Zen 2. The checks led to the reporting of 70 people.
Thirty-two have to answer for theft of electricity, 36 of invasion of buildings as they have illegally occupied public housing not assigned to them.
One person has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking of narcotic substances, possession of counterfeit coins and illegal carrying of weapons or objects capable of offending and one for driving under the influence of alcohol which tested positive for alcohol.
Overall, 245 people were identified, 40 vehicles were checked, 15 searches were carried out, and over 100 grams of cocaine and hashish were seized divided into doses and ready for retail sale.
Furthermore, 6 counterfeit 20 euro banknotes were seized, a baseball bat transported without justifiable reason, 15 fines to the highway code for a total of 17,659 euros in administrative fines.
All the narcotic substances seized during the activities of the Carabinieri departments, was sent to the Narcotics Analysis Laboratory of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Palermo, for qualitative and quantitative analyses. Control activities in the neighborhood will continue for the next few days.
