Paris Basketball is at the top of the Euroleague again!

French representative Paris Basketball continued its leadership in the THY Europa League, Europe’s “number 1” organization on a club basis in basketball, despite being defeated after 10 weeks.

In the Euroleague regular season, 18 teams played their 15th week matches on Thursdays and Fridays.

Anadolu Efes, one of the teams representing Turkey in the Europa League, faced the last champion Greek representative Panathinaikos AKTOR in a tough match. The dark blue-whites defeated Panathinaikos AKTOR, coached by former head coach Ergin Ataman, by 26 points, 93-67.

Anadolu Efes, which got its 8th victory in the league, finished the week by rising to 7th place. Panathinaikos AKTOR, coached by Ataman, suffered its 2nd consecutive defeat and 7th defeat in total.

Fenerbahçe Beko hosted the French representative Monaco on its field. The yellow-dark blue team suffered one of the heaviest defeats in the history of the Europa League and was defeated by 30 points, 99-69, in Istanbul. Having suffered its 5th defeat in the league, Fenerbahçe Beko finished the week in 4th place.

Although Paris Basketball’s 10-game winning streak ended, its leadership continued.

Paris Basketball hosted LDLC ASVEL in the French derby. Losing to its opponent 98-93, Paris Basketball suffered its first defeat after 10 matches. The French team, which suffered its 4th defeat in total, managed to remain in the leadership position it took over in the 12th week, in the 15th week.

– MVP of the week: Leday

The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 15th week in the THY Europa League was EA7 Emporio Armani Milan’s American big man Zach Leday.

Leday scored 33 points, breaking a career high, in the match where EA7 Emporio Armani Milan beat Barcelona 94-81 away. Leday also managed to become the MVP of the week by getting 37 efficiency points.
