Ross Video presents PIERO v20, the latest version of its sports graphics analysis tool. PIERO v20 offers new features such as IP ST-2110 support and live optical basketball tracking, providing expanded capabilities for production and analyst teams.
IP ST-2110 support for PIERO Live
With the introduction of PIERO v20, the system now supports IP ST-2110 for PIERO Live. This allows users to seamlessly integrate live analysis into ST-2110 workflows, similar to SDI. However, this update requires the new M9 hardwarewhich allows for smoother transitions and consistent performance.
PIERO v20: New functions for sports analysis
The new one included in PIERO v20 Keyer is intended to simplify calibration in various sports. Ross promises that it ensures sharper graphics and clearer images, especially when playing on non-green surfaces.
In addition, it offers vertical Grating effectfirst introduced in version 19.7, provides football analysts with an innovative visualization of game data. Users can overlay a grid within the goal area to display goal attempts and player movements in a more structured manner.
This is another innovation optical live tracking for basketball. This tool allows operators to conduct comprehensive live analysis without relying on external tracking data. The system is already being used in selected arenas.
For baseball analysts, PIERO v20 supports the already introduced Baseball Rounding Effect. This tool allows accurate tracking of player movements around the bases. Teams can use it to measure running angles and analyze the efficiency of players at each base.
