Van Gundy: Booker is a dynamic scoring threat and a true leader. His playmaking and ability to create his own shot are invaluable to this team. I’d imagine the Suns will be extremely cautious with his return, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him sidelined for at least a week or two.
Detroit faces a tough test next against the Lakers. Can they sustain this momentum, or was this a one-time explosion?
Van Gundy: The Lakers will certainly test Detroit’s defense. LeBron James is playing at an MVP level,and Anthony Davis is a force in the paint. It’ll be a grate matchup, but I wouldn’t count the Pistons out. Their confidence should be soaring after this win.
