This morning several players from the UD Ibiza first team visited the children admitted to the pediatric ward of the Can Misses hospital. For a pleasant time, the children have been able to forget the place where they are held by footballers. Unai Medina, Eugeni, Pau Ferrer, Iago Indias, Guillem Molina, Monju, Lass, and Andrii Chekotum have also given different gifts to the young people and their families at the hospital.
Unai Medina, one of the team captains, has recounted the experience with the following words: «It is always a pleasure to come see the children and be able to give them a smile. In the end, being in a hospital is not easy for them or their families. Coming for a while to be with them, give them gifts and make them feel close to us is always welcome.”
The Basque full-back also gave his opinion on the upcoming league match against Algeciras: “We are in great spirits, eager to go for the three points. The team is doing well despite the bad result the other day. We believe that we are going to get the three points at home, we are confident in that. The coach trusts us and we trust him. Against Algeciras you will see that the team is going to come out with a lot of enthusiasm.”
The team’s next match against Algeciras (Sunday December 16 – 3:30 p.m.) will be the last of the year at the Palladium Can Misses.
