Young Tennis Stars shine at Srinathapuram Tournament
The Srinathapuram Stadium recently hosted a thrilling four-day tennis tournament, culminating in an awards ceremony on Monday.Tennis association President Naeemuddin guddu and Secretary Anil Anand inaugurated the event, which saw 40 talented players compete for top honors.
All participants received certificates, while trophies were awarded to winners, runners-up, semi-finalists, and promising young athletes. National coach and chief umpire Amritesh Kumar presided over the competition, witnessing impressive displays of skill and sportsmanship.In the Boys Under-18 final, Pratul Gaud dominated the court, securing a decisive 6-0 victory over Kushansh Saini. The title of Upcoming Player was bestowed upon a quartet of rising stars: Bhavyaansh Singh, Arshad Mohammad Prince Jain, Hardik Sharma, and Riddhi Kaushiki.
The tournament also served as a selection process for the Kota team competing in the state-level junior tennis championship in Udaipur from January 4th to 8th. Selected players include Nivan Nimit Jain and Divit Aggarwal (Boys Under 10), Aarav Khandelwal (Boys Under 12), Pradhan pratap Singh Maru, Kushant Saini, and Aaradhya Dev Mishra (Boys Under 14).Team manager Atmaram Suman and coach Amritesh Kumar will guide these young athletes as they strive for victory.
Kota Division Dominates at State-Level Sports Competition
The 51st Education Department State Level Ministerial Employees Sports and Cultural Competition took place from December 27th to 30th, hosted by PM Shri Jawahar Government Higher Secondary School in Kuchaman City. Athletes and cultural performers from across Rajasthan’s districts and divisions converged for this prestigious event.
Kota division’s badminton team showcased extraordinary prowess, with yogesh Sharma, Tathagata Singh, Navdeep Singh, and Ramesh Moda battling their way to the finals. They ultimately triumphed over Jaipur division, securing the coveted first-place position.
In the chess competition, Raviprakash displayed strategic brilliance, winning all five rounds and claiming the top spot. Bishan Singh Chauhan soared to victory in the high jump competition, demonstrating remarkable athleticism.
