Whatever happens in the Champions League, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi assured this Tuesday of his “100%” support for his coach Luis Enrique. PSG, only 25th (out of 36, 24 qualified teams) in the new format Champions League, is nevertheless in danger with three days to go. But, on the sidelines of the congress of the European Club Association (ECA), which the Qatari chairs, he spoke to the newspaper L’Équipe about the Parisian project.
“I have absolute confidence in the project, the coach (Luis Enrique), the sports advisor (Luis Campos) and our team, and we will continue to evolve, supports Nasser Al-Khelaïfi in comments similar to those made during the inauguration of the PSG Campus in Poissy, two weeks ago. And when times are tough, we support each other, that’s what a good club does, that’s what our supporters do too, who are incredible. »
Asked also about the future of Mohamed Salah, he repeats that the rumor is “false”, as already explained earlier to the Sky Sports media. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi recalls that PSG has “started a new phase in the club’s development” and that “transformation and change take time”, requiring “patience and perseverance” in order to avoid “wild panic”.
