Qualified for the regional championship

The Magnifying Glass. Judo. Three young people qualified for the Regional championship. Their investment paid off! Three young judokas from La Loupe qualified in competition to represent the club at the regional championship in early 2025.

Saturday December 7, four juniors from the La Loupe judo jujitsu club (93 licensees) participated in the judo qualifying competitions in Orléans (Loiret). The objective of this qualifying competition was for these young people aged 12-13 to try to secure a place in the regional championship which will take place on January 26, 2025 in Tours (Indre-et-Loire).

Combats

Among the girls, after winning four fights, judokate Xifel Kouassi finished with a good second place in the final and managed to qualify for the regionals.

After three fights won and a lot of work, Tiana Altan finished second after losing in the final but she also qualified for the regionals.

In the afternoon, disappointment among the boys for Gwendal Javoy who was unable to get out of her group and therefore seize her chance to qualify.

After four “fairly quick” fights, Nathan Patte fell in the final against the winner of the regionals last year. Nathan finishes second and qualifies for regionals.

Three young athletes from Le Loup are therefore qualified for this competition which will allow them to access the highest national level and shine at the best French level.

These are the first judokas from the club to reach this level in recent years.

David Quatreboeufs, their teacher, and the members of the La Loupe club office, chaired by Nicolas Javoy, congratulate them “for the application and determination in their judo”.

At the end of January, the sixteen best judokas and judokates from the Centre-Val de Loire region will be on the tatamis and only the finalists among the first three in each category (boys and girls) will be qualified to represent the department at the French championships. Their only watchword: “We continue the work!” »
