Comment from Atsuyuki Kawasaki, President and CEO of Ibaraki Robots Sports Entertainment Co., Ltd.

Ibaraki Robots will be constructing a basketball court and training room in the “2nd phase construction of the (tentative name) Mito City Football Park Development Project,” which is being carried out by MFA-B&S in conjunction with Football Club Mito Holyhock Co., Ltd. and Mito City. We proposed the joint development of an indoor practice field with a clubhouse attached.

One of our top priorities is to invest in improving the practice environment in order to strengthen our top team and youth team in preparation for entering B.LEAGUE PREMIER. We also feel it is necessary to further deepen our collaboration with Mito Hollyhock in order to create more opportunities for local residents to experience sports.

Until now, we have received great guidance and cooperation from Mito Hollyhock through various initiatives including “MITO BLUE PRIDE.” Ibaraki Robots wholeheartedly supports the idea of building a facility that is rooted in the local community.

In response to this request from our company, Representative Director Yasushi Shibuya and President Kojima said, “We hope that the two professional sports clubs based in Mito City can overcome their boundaries and create more fun and pride for the region. We will consider it positively.” Mito Mayor Yasushi Takahashi gave his approval, saying, “I think it’s a good idea for the purpose of this initiative, so I’d like to cooperate with you to move forward with it.” We are looking forward to participating in this project. We will continue to hold discussions. I would like to once again express my respect to everyone involved in the project and thank you deeply for your understanding. We will continue to hold discussions regarding participation in this project.

Ibaraki Robots will continue its activities based on the Mito City Sports Promotion Plan in order to realize Mito City’s vision of “Mito, a city where anyone can enjoy sports anytime, anywhere, and forever.”

We appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
