Reports reveal what position NFL teams want Hunter to play.

Travis Hunter won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday night. Because he’s one of the best two-way players college football has ever seen. However, most NFL teams seem to want him to focus primarily on one position next season.

FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer said Sunday that he spoke with 13 NFL coaches and general managers to ask whether they view Hunter as a cornerback or wide receiver ahead of the upcoming draft. All but one of them said they project Hunter as a defensive star.

But coaches and GMs have said Hunter should get some opportunities at wide receiver.

“I asked that exact question and the cornerbacks were so dominant,” Glazer said. “One GM who said (he) would put him at wide receiver, why? Elite ball skills. Everyone else said it was Connor. why? Elite ball skills. They say it’s very difficult to find such a shutdown corner. But they all said that even if we start him at cornerback, we will definitely find plays for him on the offensive side of the ball.”
