Cibalia Welcomes Back Rubić with High Hopes for Top Three Finish
Cibalia Vinkovci has addressed a key need on the left side of the field with the return of Petar Rubić.After a half-season stint with MNK Aurelia Boso, the 26-year-old has rejoined his former club, citing a desire for a more fulfilling sporting experience.
Rubić’s time with Aurelia Boso, while positive in terms of team culture and personal reception, ultimately lacked the competitive spark he craved.”It’s a different sport,” he admitted, “I didn’t feel the same satisfaction and luck as I do in football.”
despite his departure, Rubić maintains a strong fondness for Aurelia Boso. He expressed confidence in their ability to avoid relegation, stating, “I was at training yesterday and gave the team a little treat. I believe they will win to stay in the league. The team is very talented and more mature for the half-season in the elite. I will come to watch them at home games and cheer loudly.”
returning to Cibalia, Rubić is eager to contribute to the team’s ambitious goals. ”I am returning to a familiar environment, not much has changed in the last six months,” he explained. “However, the ambition has changed, and that is one of the main reasons for my return. Last season we fought to stay up, and now our goal is to finish in the top three.”
This renewed ambition reflects Cibalia’s desire to build upon their recent success and establish themselves as a top contender in the league. With Rubić’s return, they have added a valuable asset to their squad, bolstering their chances of achieving their lofty goals.
Back with a Bang: Petar Rubić on Cibalia’s Ambitious Comeback
Welcome back to the show, everyone, and we’ve got a real treat for you today. Joining us is none other then Petar Rubić, the man back at cibalia Vinkovci with dreams of a top-three finish. Petar, welcome to the show.
Petar: Thanks for having me.
Moderator: It’s great to have you on. Let’s jump right in. You spent half a season with MNK Aurelia Boso. Can you walk us through that decision and ultimately, what led you back to Cibalia?
Petar: Absolutely. Aurelia Boso was a great experience. The team welcomed me with open arms, there was a wonderful atmosphere, and I really enjoyed everyone there. But, to be honest, the level of competition just wasn’t what I was looking for. For me, football is about that fire, that drive to constantly push yourself and chase victory. I didn’t quite feel that same spark there.
Moderator: So, it wasn’t necessarily about the club itself but rather your personal drive and ambition?
Petar: Exactly.Cibalia, they match that ambition. We had a tough season last year, fighting to stay in the league, but there’s a new energy this year. A shared desire to not just compete, but to win. To be among the best. That’s what truly excites me.
Moderator: Now, Cibalia’s aiming for a top-three finish? That’s a bold goal. Is it attainable? What are the key factors that will determine your success?
Petar: It’s definitely ambitious, but I truly believe it’s achievable. We have a talented squad, a fantastic coach, and most importantly, that hunger I mentioned. We need to stay consistent, play smarter, and capitalize on our strengths. We can’t afford any slip-ups.
Moderator: You mentioned MNK Aurelia Boso. You expressed confidence in their ability to avoid relegation. Do you think there’s a chance they might surprise everyone and climb higher up the table?
Petar: Look, they’re a young team, brimming with potential. With the right approach, the right mindset, they definitely have what it takes to rise above expectations. They’ve got a great spirit, and I’ll be cheering them on from the Cibalia stands, that’s without a doubt.
Moderator: That’s fantastic to hear. It’s clear you have a lot of respect for the club, and I’m sure they appreciate your belief in them. Now, back to Cibalia. What’s changed since you last wore the colours?
Petar: Honestly, not that much on the surface. It’s still a tight-knit group of players and coaches, a family atmosphere. But you can feel it – a renewed sense of determination, a hunger to prove ourselves. That’s the biggest difference. This is a Cibalia reborn, ready to fight for glory.
Moderator: It’s certainly an exciting time for Cibalia fans! We wish you and the team all the best in your quest for a top-three finish. We’ll be watching closely. Petar, thank you for your time and for the insightful conversation.
