The Magnymontois certainly wanted to end their series of three consecutive defeats, but the task was heavy. The meeting started well for Martin Guérette’s men. Trailing by a goal at the start of the first, Jean-Christophe Coulombe leveled the score midway through the second. The excitement was only short-lived. Saint-Romuald showed what he is made of with four unanswered goals until the end of the second.

The quote “it ain’t over till it’s over” from legendary baseball player Yogi Berra must have crossed the minds of a few players at Caron Industries. Jean-Christophe Coulombe brought his team back to life with two goals in three minutes to reduce the gap to two goals. The Expert hurt the representatives of the Côte-du-Sud, by scoring a sixth goal with a man less, but it was not enough. Jean-Christophe Coulombe, Bryan Chabot and Xavier Paré, with four seconds left in the match, brought everyone back to square one.
During the shootout, Olivier Dulac repelled the two attempts of the Expert while Coulombe and Chabot gave victory to Caron Industries.
