Ronda
The Ronda City Council wanted to publicly recognize the successes and sporting careers of more than 120 Ronda residents at the XV Sports Gala, which was held at the Vicente Espinel Municipal Theater. This event, organized by the municipal area, awards have been given to the most varied disciplines, from rhythmic gymnastics to bushido, to paddle tennis, athletics and badminton.
The delegate of the area, Bernardo Crespo, has highlighted “the quality of the winners and the magnificent results that the Rondeños competitors obtain in all categories and disciplines.” In this sense, he has publicly praised “the effort made by all those recognized, and also their families and loved ones, to train, improve every day, travel to the competition venues and be the best in each event. For us it is a pride that each one of them carries the name of Ronda throughout the country and around the world.”
In addition to the competitors themselves, the Sports area wanted to especially recognize entities, professionals and volunteers who actively participate in the organization of each of the events and who, in some cases, collaborate selflessly. Thus, special mentions will be given to Local Police, Civil Protection, media, event volunteers and collaborators of specific events such as mountain days.
Along with this, the Sports area highlights the collaboration of Ronda’s educational centers that participate in numerous events that are organized throughout the season. For this reason, a special award has been given to the representatives of the Nuestra Señora de la Paz schools; Martín Pinzón; Sacred heart; Fernando de los Ríos; Virgin of the Head; Juan Carrillo and Cervantes.
