Malaysian national team legend Safe, Sali praised the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) after appointing Peter Cklamovski as head coach of the Harimau Malaya team.
FAM officially announced Peter Cklamovski as the new coach of the Malaysian national team, Monday (16/12). Apart from that, FAM also announced Nafuzi Zain as coach of Malaysia U-23. Both will start working on January 1, 2025.
The appointment of Cklamovski and Nafuzi received appreciation from Safee Sali. According to the former Pelita Jaya player, the selection of coaches this time was carried out in depth and detail by FAM because this was not an easy task.

“Yes [Cklamovski] “I have very good experience and I hope that with the experience he has he can translate all the efforts to improve what is in the Harimau Malaya team,” said Safee as quoted by Berita Harian.
Safee Sali hopes that under the leadership of coach Peter Cklamovski the Malaysian national team can enter the top 100 in the world.
“Of course we want to see the target of entering the top 100 in the world ranking achieved. The assistance from FAM as announced yesterday is indeed good and this is a step forward towards a better era for the Young Tigers,” said Safee.
“Nafuzi also has experience with Terengganu and Kedah. He is able to lead the team well,” added Safee.
Safee advised the two coaches to work well together to create continuity between the junior and senior teams.
“The important thing is that Nafuzi and Cklamovski can work together well and we will have a junior team that is exactly on par with the senior team,” said Safee.
