From table tennis and field tennis stars like Juan Vila and Víctor‌ Estrella, to basketball legends such as Luis Felipe López, ‌Eduardo Gómez, Víctor Liz, Ricardo Vázquez, and Mauricio Espinal, Santiago has consistently nurtured athletic talent. he also acknowledged the contributions of baseball greats like Luis Polonia, Miguel Diloné, and ‍Winston ‘Chilote’ Llenas, among others. ‍
