Seoul Plaza Skating Rink opens on the 20th… ‘This year’s usage fee is 1,000 won’
The city of Seoul will operate the Seoul Plaza Ice Skating Rink in Jung-gu from the 20th to February 9th of next year.
The skating rink is open from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and public holidays.
The usage fee is 1,000 won this year as well. You can borrow safety equipment such as helmets and knee pads for free.
Foreign tourists who use the ‘Discover Seoul Pass’, a Seoul tourism ticket exclusively for foreigners, can use the skating rink for free.
A variety of experiences are also available.
From the 20th to the 31st of this month, the ‘E-Sports Promotion Center’ will be operated on the permanent stage at Seoul Plaza next to the skating rink.
Any citizen who visits the skating rink can experience virtual sports such as baseball and tennis through virtual reality (VR).
There are also cafes and shops where skaters and tourists can take a break and enjoy coffee, drinks, and food.
Various event programs and experience events are also held depending on the season, such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Lunar New Year holidays, and weekends.
The opening ceremony will be held at Seoul Plaza at 6 p.m. on the 20th, and a media ice show congratulatory performance will be held along with congratulatory messages from major guests such as Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon.
On opening day, it is open for free from 3pm to 9:30pm.
