Friday December 13, the Châteauvillain judo club ended the year in style, between training, distribution of gifts and aperitif dinner.
This last session of the year was most intense. In fact, the club had brought in Jacques Merrant, 6th dan black belt from Cijam (Independent College of Traditional Judo and Martial Arts) so that he could lead a course accessible to all members of the club.
75 judokas took part in this first day of training which continued until Sunday noon. And the judokas’ relatives were invited to join the tatamis for a short initiation which was carried out in pairs, most often parent/child.
At the end of this workshop, the club invited the participants to meet right next to the tatami mats where a few tables had been set up for the aperitif dinner which allowed them to share a moment of conviviality. And as the end-of-year holidays are fast approaching, the club wanted to spoil its members by playing Santa Claus, by offering them each a sports bag bearing the club’s image.
The club’s next course will be held on January 25 and 26, 2025. It will feature Didier Veillet, 7th Dan black belt from Cijam. The club will also organize a lottery on Saturday March 22, 2025 in the village hall. Doors open at 7 p.m. and games start at 8 p.m. It will then end the season with a regional competition which will be held on May 17, 2025 in Recey-sur-Ource.
The club spoiled its members by offering each of them a sports bag bearing the club’s image.
