SSB included in the Sport NRW Quality Alliance – Münster City Sports Association

The plaque and certificate are now also a visible sign of the Münster City Sports Association (SSB)’s commitment to preventing sexual and interpersonal violence (PSG). The SSB recently received both for inclusion in the quality alliance for protection against sexualized and interpersonal violence in sport NRW (Quality Alliance for Sport). “With this step we would like to set an example for our more than 200 member clubs,” said Jörg Verhoeven, the SSB chairman, about the successful completion of a long-term process.

The SSB worked for around two years under the leadership of Thomas Lammers to implement the criteria for inclusion in the Sport NRW Quality Alliance. Anne Hölscher (VIBSS consultant at the LSB) provided support with know-how when creating the protection concept as a central component.

The plaque was presented to the SSB on the occasion of the sports show in front of a large crowd. “You have fulfilled the conditions with great flying colours,” emphasized Martin Wonik from the board of LSB NRW and thanked him warmly for the very extensive work. The SSB is now the eleventh Münster member of the Sport NRW Quality Alliance.

In order to become a member, the sports organizations must implement and install ten quality criteria. These include formal criteria such as a resolution by the board as well as the content-related discussion of carrying out a risk analysis and drawing up a protection concept. Various quality assurance measures are also part of the extensive catalog of criteria. Marisa Kleinitzke and Thomas Lammers, as the responsible specialists at the SSB, are currently supporting numerous local clubs in implementing all of these points.
