Stade Louis-II will open its doors for the European Small Countries Championships in 2026

In 2026, the Principality will be at the heart of European athletics with the organization of the Small Countries of Europe Championships on May 30, at the Stade Louis-II. A competition which will bring together athletes from 17 countries and promises to be a highlight for the small nations of the Old Continent.

Athletes from Andorra, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Georgia, Gibraltar, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Moldova, North Macedonia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro and San Marino will compete in the Monaco stadium. All under the patronage of European Athletics, which supports this unique gathering for small nations, but with great sporting potential.

This event will also mark an important step in the preparation of the 2027 Games of the Small States of Europe, which Monaco will also host.
