Yverdon-les-Bains, November 30 and December 1, 2024.
For the second year in a row, the Swiss Individual Championships took place at the Salle des Isles in Yverdon. The Cheseaux Judo-Club was well represented with 12 qualifiers. None of our fighters doubled the competition in two age categories. Finally, with the injuries to Théo Matt and Lucas Cueni, three Elites, five Juniors and two Hopes of the club took to the tatami.
En Elites -70kg, April Fohouo won his four fights by ippon, including the final in 5 seconds. For the first time in her young career, she becomes Swiss Elite Champion.
In Elites -81kg, Naïm Matt wins his first four fights with magnificent projections. In the final, he had to admit being beaten by the same score. He ends like this Swiss Vice-Champion in the weight category higher than that in which he usually competes.
And Elites -63kg, Chiara Frieden was eliminated from the title race in the first round with three penalties, despite a high level of activity and numerous attacks. She then won her two repechage fights and ranked 3rd.
A Juniors -66kg, Noah Meylan passes the first two rounds before losing in the semi-final against the future winner of the category. He brilliantly won the fight for 3ème place and finished with the bronze medal. In the same category, Niklas Cueni with one victory and two defeats is not classified.
A Juniors -90kg, Abel Jaouada lost in the first round. He then goes through all the repechages and with three victories ranks 3rd.
In Espoirs -55kg, Alexandre Mueller with three victories for two defeats ranks 5th.
In Juniors -73kg, his brother Stéphane Mueller also with three victories for two defeats ranks 7th.
In Juniors -81kg Dario Relvas and in Espoirs -48kg Rania Mouimi are not classified.
