SANTIAGO.- The novenas of the municipality of Tamboril and Cienfuegos, representing Santiago Oeste, will compete in the grand final of the Santiago Amateur Baseball Tournament, with a special dedication to Mayor Ulises Rodríguez.

The first to achieve three victories will win the Santiago Mayor’s Cup, which is held in the event organized by the Santiago Baseball Association (ABESA), chaired by Ambiorix Mata.

Tamboril advanced to the final by eliminating Coque Academy Baseball, while Unión Deportiva de Cienfuegos beat the Linda de Navarrete team.

The Tamborileños defeated Coquero Academy Baseball with a score of 8-1, with victory for Albert Pérez, with 6.0 innings of work, where he allowed one run, 2 hits, one base and 6 strikeouts. The defeat was for Wilson Acosta.

Michael Rosario hit a home run for the winners, Rando Moreno and Brailin Peña, hit a double and a single; Josué Collado, two hits and Josué Chala, a double.
