Belinda Bencic (WTA 913) celebrated her fifth victory since returning to the tennis court. The young mother qualified for the round of 16 at the WTA 125 tournament in Angers. She beat Romania’s Patricia Maria Tig (WTA 243) 6-4, 6-1 in a game she controlled from start to finish. Her next opponent is the winner of the encounter between Georgian Mariam Bolkwadze (WTA 197) and Russian Anastasia Sakharova (WTA 112). Number 1 on the seeding list is the French Clara Burel (WTA 73), who will face Zurich’s Céline Naef (WTA 155) in the first round on Tuesday.
