Tennis regional championships youngest in Groß Hehlen | CELLEHEUTE.DE

CELLE. The junior tennis regional championships for the Südheide region (Celle and Heidekreis) took place in Groß Hehlen at the weekend. From U10 to U7, 61 children took part.

The U10 competitions played in a normal large field with reduced-pressure balls and also offered a midcourt category. In the large field competition made up of boys and girls, Levy Weykopf (TC Rot-Weiß Celle) won the final against Clara Fingerhut (MTV Eintracht Celle) and became regional champion, Bente Matthee (SC Wietzenbruch) and Paul Allwardt (VfL Westercelle) came third.

In the midcourt competitions, a motor skills competition consisting of running, jumping, throwing and agility had to be completed first.

In the U10 midcourt children’s category, Amon Bednarzick (TC Wathlingen) came second ahead of Elea Gutzeit (Celler TV BW), while Torben Krüger (VfL Westercelle) came in third after counting the tennis and motor skills scores.

In the girls U9 category, Insa-Louisa Söhnholz (TSV Neuenkirchen) came in first ahead of Mia Hambrock (SV Grün-Weiß Hodenhagen). Third place went to Mia Sophie Runge (SV Grün-Weiß Hodenhagen) and Ida Gramm (TC Rot-Weiß Celle).

For the boys U9, those responsible for the tournament, led by youngest manager Udo Symansky, were pleased with a large field of participants with 16 participants. The eight players with the highest points qualified for the quarter-finals after the preliminary group phase. Kian Frederik Sadegh pour Saleh (TC Munster) ultimately narrowly prevailed in the final against his club colleague Jakob Meyer with 2:6,6:4 and 11:9. The Munster success trio was completed by Luca Elias Tegt, who came third together with Mika Leudolph (TC from Cramm Soltau.

The four-way competition was also held beforehand in the small field (across the normal tennis court) in the U8 and U7 age groups.

Regional champion of the U8 boys age group was Lukas Stairs (SC Wietzenbruch), who prevailed in the final against Jona Münch (TC von Cramm Soltau). Club colleague Erik Lassen came third, together with Dinis Campos (ASV Adelheidsdorf).

Olivia Webb (TC Rot-Weiß Celle) is the new title holder in the girls U8. She relegated Milena Wink (SV LIndwedel-Hope) to second place and Vera Semakin (TC Winsen/Aller) to bronze.

The youngest participants started in the U7 and here too the field of participants was pleasing with 13 children. There were exciting, close matches in which Emil Grünert (MTV Eintracht Celle) was able to secure first place in 3 sets ahead of Max Machill (SV Nienhagen). Eneas Coenen (SV Lindwedel-Hope) and Henry Fitzpatrick (Celler TV BW) also landed on the podium in third place.

Overall, the tournament management around youngest manager Udo Symansky was very satisfied with the smooth running, the fair games and the considerable number of participants.
