The Campania Sport Yearbook 2025 will be available from Friday 20 December. On the cover, the medals and fourth places won by Campania Sport at the Olympic Games and Paralympics in Paris 24. Starting from the gold of Monica De Gennaro, column of Italy volleyball, to the silvers of Silvana Stanco in the trap shooting specialty, and Manila Esposito, in the team competition in gymnastics, to which is added the bronze in the beam. But also the Paralympic gold in weight, with a silver in discus, by Assunta Legnante in athletics, Rossana Pasquino’s bronze in fencing and Angela Procida’s in swimming. With them, the seven fourth-placed athletes from Campania: Tammaro Cassandro in shooting, Christian Parlati, Gennaro Pirelli and Antonio Esposito in judo, Giovanni Abagnale and Giuseppe Vicino in rowing, Vincenzo Boni in paralympic swimming. A tribute to the splendid results that Campania achieved at the Games in France.
Not only Olympic podiums, but also many valuable results in Campania sport, one above all, the historic triumph of Napoli Basket in the Italian Cup, the most sensational of a series of triumphs that confirm Campania at the top of national sport. But 2024 also proudly welcomed the reopening of the multi-sports facility of the Collana al Vomero stadium. A victory worth as much as an Olympic medal, achieved thanks to the will and foresight of the Campania Region, the commitment of Arus and the competence of the Campania Coni. All news that finds ample space within the publication, a launching pad for 2026, the year of Naples as European Capital of Sport.
