She secured a bronze medal in the junior category’s 500-metre singles event at the European Kayaking Championship. Chaman’s versatility shone through as she also achieved a 7th place finish in the U-23 group’s 500-meter doubles event. Her success extended to the World Championships, where she earned an 8th place finish in the junior category’s 500-meter singles and a 7th place finish in the U-23 group’s 500-meter mixed doubles. Nicholas Deichmann, a swimmer from the Jelgava Specialized Swimming School, dominated the pool, becoming a multiple Latvian and Baltic champion in both junior and adult categories. He holds three Latvian records for juniors (200m and 400m medley, 200m backstroke) and three for adults (200m backstroke and twice in the 4x100m freestyle relay).
