The athletes of the Binéfar Judo Club achieved excellent results in the Spanish Absolute Championship that was held this weekend at El Gran Canaria Arena. Coach Raúl Clemente traveled with Manuel Alonso, Alejandra Pérez, Sergio García and Moussa Macalou.
In the men’s category Manuel Alonso (-66) developed a magnificent competition demonstrating his high level, obtaining a seventh place. In the women’s category, Alejandra Pérez (-52) after a long injury showed that she was ready to compete again at the highest level.
Sergio García and Moussa Macalou, both in -73 kg, after having an extraordinary day with their Uchi Mata, the house brand, won the bronze medal.

On the other hand, last Tuesday twelve judokas belonging to the Cadet and Children categories and their coach Antonio Clager were received at the Aragonese Youth Institute by the general director of sports, Cristina García. The director recognized her good sporting results, after achieving first place in national teams, placing for the first time ahead of powers such as Madrid and Valencia. For all these reasons, he announced that the 2025 Spanish Judo Championship for school age will be held in Zaragoza at the Príncipe Felipe Pavilion.
