The Capital | Mexican Badminton Qualifies For The Junior Pan American Games Asuncion 2025

Miriam Rodríguez, Maximiliano Peregrina, Vanesa García and Néstor González make up the national team for the next continental competition

MEXICO CITY.- The Mexican badminton team that will participate in the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games was formed after the National Selective of the discipline was held in Aguascalientes, where its four members were defined.

The Jalisco players Miriam Rodríguez and Maximiliano Peregrina obtained their qualification for the continental competition in the mixed doubles modality after winning the final against the couple made up of Mayte Macías and Juan Carlos Torres with a score of 2-0 (21-14 and 23-21) .

Miriam Rodríguez will arrive at next year’s competition as a top international multi-medalist, after achieving three golds at the San Salvador 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, as well as bronze in women’s doubles at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

In the women’s and men’s individual modality, Vanesa García from New Leon and Néstor González from Jalisco will compete in the Asunción 2025 competition, after becoming champions by beating Cecilia Madera and Juan Carlos Torres, respectively, by scores of 2-0.

Currently, Miriam Rodríguez, Maximiliano Peregrina and Néstor González maintain their concentration and preparation at the facilities of the National Center for the Development of Sports Talents and High Performance (CNAR).
