The Club World Cup takes shape: draw in Miami for Juventus and Inter – Turin News

It takes shape Club World Cup 2025on Thursday 5 December in Miami the draw which will reveal the opponents of the two participating Italian teams: Juventus e Inter. The competition will be hosted in twelve American stadiums, equipped to accommodate the 63 scheduled matches, among which the MetLife Stadium of New York, usually home to the NFL teams Giants and Jets, which will be the scene of the final scheduled for Sunday 13 July.

The draw ceremony will take place on Thursday 5 December at 19:00 CET in Miami and will be broadcast globally via the official website of the FIFAFIFA+, and related support channels.

The teams qualified for the first edition of the FIFA Club World Cup 32 teams will be placed in four groups of eight each. The allocation will follow the confederal rankings, which determine the position of each club within its confederation, thus defining the distribution in the groups. During the draw, various constraints will be observed, including the principle that no more than one team from the same confederation can be present in the same group. An exception is theUEFA (Europe), represented by 12 teams, thus allowing the presence of two European teams in four of the eight groups.

Details on groups and bands

A pair pairing principle based on the confederal rankings will be applied to the teams included in the first tier for assignment to the respective groups. Furthermore, clubs from the same association cannot be placed together, and all teams from the fascia #1 they will be assigned to the first position in their group. For scheduling reasons, the two American clubs, Inter Miami e Seattle Sounderswill automatically be placed fourth in groups A and B respectively.

The first band includes the four best European teams and the four most important South American teams, while the fascia #2 includes the remaining eight European teams, including Juventus e Inter. The fascia #3 includes the two highest-rated teams from Asia, Africa and the North, Central America and Caribbean region respectively, along with the two remaining South American clubs. Finally, the fascia #4 consists of the last two teams from Asia and Africa, the North, Central America and Caribbean region, as well as the representative from Oceania and the team from the host country, i.e. Messi’s Inter Miami.

  • Urn 4: Urawa Red Diamonds, Al-Ain, ES Tunis, Seattle Sounders, Inter Miami, Auckland City, Mamelodi Sundowns, Pachuca

The competition will begin with a phase a groupsdivided into 8 groups of four teams each. The first two classified in each group will access the round of 16where the knockout phase will begin. There will be no final scheduled for third placegiving each match a decisive role in the title race.
