A European tennis tournament for under-12s, the Babolat Cup is preparing for its grand finale from December 13 to 15 in Lyon.
Attention: the future tennis stars are coming to Lyon for a weekend. Indeed, from December 13 to 15, time for a new edition of the Babolat Cup. Created in 2009 by the famous Babolat brand, the event is a European tennis tournament aimed at under-12s, both girls and boys. First launched in Spain fifteen years ago, the Babolat Cup now exists in 7 countries: France, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and Austria.

This weekend, it is Lyon which is hosting the final phases of this Babolat Cup 2024, at the All In Country Club. Young committed players will dream of following in the footsteps of a certain Carlos Alcaraz. In 2017, the Spaniard won the Babola Cup. Six years later, he became world number 1. The young people involved will have their eyes shining in Lyon. This Saturday, December 14, they will have the opportunity to meet professional players from the Babolat Family. Among others: Dominic Thiem, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Niels Vink and Botic Van de Zandschulp.

Beyond the sporting competition, the weekend will also be marked by the presence of Angélique Cauchy, president of the Rebond association and author of “If one day someone does you harm”. The opportunity for her to share her poignant testimony on the abuse she suffered at the age of 12 under the influence of her tennis coach. Angélique Cauchy will hold a conference on Saturday December 14 at 11 a.m., in the presence of Éric Babolat, to raise public awareness of violence against minors in sport.
