This year’s Hamburg Championships O19 took place on December 7th and 8th, 2024
held at the Alter Teichweg State Performance Center.

Almost 60 games were played on both days to determine the new Hamburg champions of 2024 in women’s and men’s singles, women’s and men’s doubles and mixed doubles. At the same time, the tournament was also a qualification for the North German Championship O19 2025, which will take place at the beginning of January – also in the LLZ.

The women’s singles title was secured Sheetal Sudarshan from BC 68 Hamburg. She won the semi-final against Sarah Dubbert (HSV) and the final against Beatrice Aßmann (FTV) in two sets. Alexander Strehse from Trittau won the men’s singles title in the final against his club mate Ben Milewski. In the semi-finals, Ben defeated Yang Li from Wedeler TSV, who was in first place, in three hard-fought sets.

Alexander Strehse was also in the men’s doubles final. Together with his partner Jonathan Persson (also TSV Trittau) they defeated Florian Selke and Marco Hamann (Horner TV) in three sets in the final.

The women’s doubles title also went to TSV Trittau. Here Isara Faradilla and Lisa Woidich won the gold medal. In the final they won against Sarah Dubbert and Doreen Tandetzki from HSV.
Third place went to the bronze medalists of this year’s German Championship U17 in girls’ doubles, Monique Schütt and Vanessa Dinh (SV Rugenbergen/SSW).

The new Hamburg champions O19 in mixed doubles are Jonathan Persson and Isra Faradilla from Trittau. In the final you managed a 21:17/21:10 win against Alexander Strehse and Lisa Woidich.
