PlayStation 5 is one of the most desired objects in the world, especially during this Christmas period, so you can imagine the joy of a child receiving it as a gift in the middle of an NBA game. What perhaps you cannot imagine is an unexpected continuation of the story…
During the NBA game between the Charlotte Hornets and the Philadelphia 76ers held yesterday December 17th at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, the home team’s mascot, Hugo, dressed up as Santa Claus and became the protagonist of a very emotional moment giving away a PS5 to one lucky child in the audienceall in favor of cameras.
All very nice, too bad that, as we learned immediately afterwards thanks to the testimony of a family friend, the managers of the Charlotte Hornets they took back the PlayStation 5in this case with the cameras off. A truly unpleasant episode which, as the most mischievous might point out, karma made the people pay hornets with a resounding defeat of 121 to 108.
Having become public knowledge, the episode predictably sparked indignant reactions from the people of the web and from the team’s supporters themselves, with such an echo that it could not leave the Hornets indifferent. Second Yahoo Sports the child’s uncle had already been informed that he would not be able to keep the PlayStation 5 at the end of what was supposed to be a simple entertainment sketch, but he allegedly failed to tell his nephew this.
Nonetheless, with a press release the Hornets made a mea culpa and they announced that they will give a double gift to the child, who is not alone he will receive the PS5 that was taken from his handsbut you will also be able to enjoy it a VIP experience at a future game at the Spectrum Center. All’s well that ends well!
