Tenth official match in the Serie B championship for the girls of Domus Mulieris who, on this Sunday afternoon, host the Roman team from Esquilino.
This is the fourth match in ten days for the yellow-blue team, undefeated leaders of the group with a record of nine victories in as many matches, thanks to the postponement against Rieti and the midweek round with the victorious away match against Virtus Albano-Pavona. A tour de force that consumed a lot of energy but also brought a further injection of confidence to the group led on the bench by coach Carlo Scaramuccia.
The opponent of this round will be Esquilino who has collected eight points so far, the result of four successes and five defeats. The team entrusted to coach Corrado Innocenti focuses mainly on the talent of its two wingers Eleonora Piacentini and Sara Innocenzi who, with 18.1 and 17 points on average per game respectively, are among the best scorers in the group. Also noteworthy is the contribution made by Valeria Giorgi and Elettra Tomassoni in a group that has demonstrated its value by making life very difficult for listed teams such as San Raffaele and Frascati.
“We’ve played a lot in this period – confirms coach Scaramuccia – but overall we’re doing well and the victories give us that extra push to always give our best. We face a formidable opponent, with excellent individuality especially among the wingers, and we don’t know if we will be able to count on Adongpiny who hasn’t trained due to an ankle problem. A victory would be fundamental, also because our direct pursuers will face each other in the next three days and we could take advantage of this to gain some points, but only as long as we remain focused on our game and on making good use of our weapons.”
Tap-off at 6pm and match direction entrusted to Leonardo Venditti and Luca Hegedus, both from Rome. Entrance to the PalaMalè will be free but, for those who cannot follow the match live, live streaming will be available on the official Facebook profile of the yellow-blue club (Ants Basket).
