The results of the NBA Cup night
There are two games played in the NBA night. In the first quarter-final of the Eastern Conference, Milwaukee defeated Orlando in a sprint, thanks to 37 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo and 28 points from Damian Lillard, who scored 11 in the last two minutes of the game.
Due to the absences of Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, it was Jalen Suggs who put the Magic on his shoulders, finishing the match with 32 points. Good performance also for Jett Howard who scored 10 coming off the bench.
The second quarter-final of the NBA Cup between Oklahoma City and Dallas, however, ends with a show of strength by the Thunder, who manage to send the entire starting five in double figures. The absolute dominator of the match was the usual Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 39 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals. The key to success for coach Daigneault’s franchise, however, was the defensive midfield, as the Mavs’ big 3 did not go beyond 52 combined points.
